Short film - Forty years

Finally this film is being released (if thats the right word for a short film doing the film festival rounds) it was filmed two years ago when I was a small(er) boy - the film is directed by Russel Appleford and we went to the first screening last night at BAFTA in London. The film is really good with some fantastic CGI acting (of course) and great camera shots etc.. more...
Caucasian chalk circle

Caucasian chalk circle

Finished the show on Saturday night - well received by all - full report coming later The Caucasian Chalk Circle (German: Der Kaukasische Kreidekreis) is a play by the German modernist playwright Bertolt Brecht. An example of Brechts epic theatre, the play is a parable about a peasant girl who steals a baby but becomes a better mother than its natural parents. 40 Years update

The Return of Quizical

Sometime during the Autumn we will be bringing our (big spirits) production of quizical to the Queen Mother Theatre in Hitchin, its the story of posh school versus run down school in the quiz final of the year - oh and its boys against girls as well - I play the geeky one, there is some love and intrigue thrown in for good measure. More info and dates coming soon.

Funding needed

The main reason for setting up this web site is to try and attract funding for my studies, I am hoping to attend Arts Ed in London where I have been offered a place. Unfortunately at the lower ages there is not a great deal of support available from the government. I am applying for any grants that are available but will need some help - so if you are interested in helping in any way you can please let me know. Edinburgh Fringe 2009

Open Air production of The Tempest

Open Air production of The Tempest

July 2009 saw our (Big Spirit) open air production of The Tempest - unfortunately rain dampened (or soaked) the first night but we struggled on regardless, friday more rain so the production was moved to the Queen Mother Theatre in Hitchin. The final performance was in the open on Saturday night and a crowd of 100+ watched an excellent and slightly amended (music & dancing!) version of this Shakespeare classic. Well received and great fun for all who attended and took part in the production.
